Maria Schasteen: turning words into beautiful images

Problem: high-image cost and poor brand alignment

Maria Schasteen (Mariaschasteen.com) is a best-selling essential oil author from Austria. She wrote more than 36 books on the topic of aromatherapy.

As part of her blog, Maria publishes multiple articles each week.

Each blog post necessited a blog image.

Her problem was two-fold:

  1. The cost of buying new images for her blog images was very high

In fact, she used to be subscribed to a stock photo ~subscription~ service for up to $2,000/year.

  1. The stock images were not representative of her brand

Maria has a profound relationship with nature, so greenery and natural elements have always been very important to her.

On top of this she uses the color Magenta has an accent color which was never represented in her imagery.

  1. The stock images were not representative of her articles

Furthermore, Maria struggled to find images which were relevant enough for her articles.

Solution

Using Dezygn V2 during an onboarding session she was able to set up a new system for generating blog images that were consistent with her brand, and save $1,000s in terms of future stock imagery fees for the future.

Setting up her brand in Dezygn

During her onboarding, Maria was able to determine her brand style with our founder and using our proprietary branding chatbot.

Her brand style was then summarized and saved in Dezygn to make sure future image generations always stayed on brand.

New Blog Image 1: DNA Strand

For this article, Maria had initially used a stock image she found on the platform she uses.

The image had none of her branding elements nor colors. In fact it felt a bit out of place on her site.

Using Dezygn, we copy pasted the entire text of her article into our prompt engine.

From there, Dezygn generated several images which were created using Maria Schasteen brand identity as well as the article content.

This process is unique to Dezygn.

It can be summarised as follow:

(Brand Identity + Article Content) * Dezygn AI Parameters = Perfect Designs

This allows for never-seen before transcendance between the words of the author and the visuals on the screen.

Even for a scientific article on essential oils, Dezygn was able to perfectly represent the author’s intentions.

New Blog Image 2: Cinnamon Essential Oils

Similary, in this example, the before image was generic and had none of the brand essence of Maria.

By importing the entire article text into Dezygn and merging it with her brand attributes, Dezygn was able to generate an image that has:

  • high-resolution
  • 100% relevance to the article
  • incorporates Maria’s brand colors
  • unbranded oil bottle as she requested

New Blog Image 3: Children Concentration

For this article on how essential oils can help children concentrate, the challenge was not to create a new image from scratch, but rather to reproduce and improve an existing concept.

The before image had a very specific composition:

  • a child using books as a hat
  • a desk
  • nature and plants in the background
  • sun rays

Using Dezygn, we were able to achieve exceptional results.

The process can be summarized as such:

(Brand Identity + Original Image) * Dezygn = Perfect Designs

This process is in essence an image-to-image workflow which incorporates the essence of Maria’s brand.

Again in the after image we can see:

  • similar composition with the child using a book as a hat
  • a plant with the color magenta on the desk
  • some more hints of magenta on the window ledge
  • an essential oil bottle on the child’s desk
  • all elements which are part of Maria’s brand

Overal, this example shows that not only Dezygn can be used to generate brand new materials from article content: it can also be used to generate new designs from existing images.

Brand Watermarking

Finally, using Dezygn image overlay feature for dark and light logos, Maria can now easily apply her branding to her images.

Since the images generated in Dezygn by Maria are 100% her own, she can now claim full ownership of these by applying her logo on it.

Summary

Thanks to Dezygn, Maria will now be able to:

  • save $1,000s on future stock imagery fees she will no longer have to pay
  • generate consistent imagery at will that truly represents her brand
  • create images from her article content (no prompting required) in less than 8 seconds
  • create images from existing images
  • apply her brand to these visuals and retain ownership rights

For a prolific writer like Maria, Dezygn is a game changer. It allows her to finally turn her words into beautiful images.
